Two Ways to Work With Ecco Qua

Planning fees are separate from the cost of your travel.

Custom Travel Planning & Booking

$500 planning fee

For travelers who want Ecco Qua to design the trip and handle the arrangements.

We’ll create your custom itinerary, recommend the hotels and experiences that fit you, coordinate the logistics and book your travel arrangements through Ecco Qua.

The $500 planning fee is paid before itinerary design begins and is non-refundable. Complex, extended or multi-country itineraries may require an additional planning fee. If so, we’ll discuss it with you before we begin your trip design.

Sometimes you want an expert to create the trip, but you prefer to make and manage the reservations yourself.

You get Ecco Qua’s destination knowledge, hotel expertise and itinerary planning without booking your travel through us. We’ll design the journey. You’ll handle the reservations.

Custom Itinerary Design begins at $1,000. Pricing may increase with trip length, number of destinations and overall complexity, and your fee is confirmed before planning begins. Once your final itinerary is delivered, you make, confirm, modify and manage all reservations. Ecco Qua does not service reservations booked independently by the traveler.

About planning fees

When do I pay the planning fee?

After your first conversation with your advisor. We’ll walk you through what’s included and make sure we’re a good fit, then send you a link to purchase your planning. Telling us about your trip and talking it through costs nothing.

Is the planning fee part of what I pay for the trip?

No. Planning fees are separate from the cost of your travel. Your hotels, trains, tours and experiences are priced in your itinerary.

Which option should I choose?

If you’d like one team handling every reservation, with support before you go, choose Custom Travel Planning & Booking. If you enjoy making your own bookings and want an expert plan to follow, choose Custom Itinerary Design. Not sure? Tell us about your trip and your advisor will recommend one.

What does a trip itself usually cost?

It depends on the season, hotels and how long you stay. As a guide, our five Italian Escapes start between $3,995 and $6,450 per person for 7 to 9 nights, not counting flights. Your advisor designs to the budget you share with us.

What if my trip covers more than one country?

We plan across Europe. Complex, extended or multi-country itineraries may need an additional planning fee, and we’ll always discuss it with you before we begin.

Can I add the Concierge Upgrade later?

Yes. You can add it any time before you travel, as long as you’re booking through Ecco Qua. Some reservations and experiences sell out early, so sooner is better.

Is the planning fee refundable?

Planning fees are paid before itinerary design begins and are non-refundable once the planning process starts.

Our planning fees compensate our advisors for the expertise, research and time involved in designing a highly customized European itinerary.

Planning fees are separate from the cost of your travel and are non-refundable once the planning process begins.

For trips booked through Ecco Qua, we may also receive compensation from hotels and other travel suppliers.

Travel pricing and availability can change until reservations are confirmed and deposits have been made.
